Is it possible for us to know what God is like?
Every civilization throughout history has wrestled with this question, and has come up with their own answers. But what if, instead of us trying to ascend to him, God came down to us? That's what Christmas is about, and that is the miracle of the incarnation--that God took on flesh and bones to become like us, so that he could reveal himself to us and save our broken world. Come explore why we don't just long for this message of Christmas to be true; we believe it is true, and it has changed us forever!
Events Happening This Christmas!
Advent Sundays: Dec 1st, 8th, 15th, and 22nd @ 10am
Advent means “arrival”, and the season of Advent is a time when we look back upon Christmas, but also when we look forward to when Christ comes again.
Traditionally, Advent is celebrated on the four Sundays before Christmas day, and this year we’ll be looking at the four major themes of Advent (Hope, Peace, Joy, & Love) in light of Christ’s first appearance at Christmas and second appearance at the end of the age!
Join us at 10am on these Sunday mornings at the Embassy Suites in Downtown Tampa near the Convention Center for Christmas worship, Christmas themed messages, and the lighting of the Advent Wreath!
Christmas Eve Candlelight Service: Dec 24th @ 4pm
You’re invited to a special Christmas Eve Candlelight Service on Tuesday, December 24th at 4pm, at the Embassy Suites in Downtown Tampa near the Convention Center.
We’ll have special Christmas worship music, hear a short Christmas message, and light candles to commemorate the season!
We will have kids ministry available for kids below elementary school, but older kids are invited to join us in this shortened service! Coffee, tea, and hot cocoa will be provided!
Community Christmas Social: Dec 18th @ 7pm
On Wednesday, December 18th at 7pm, we’re hosting a Christmas social at Industrious Sparkman Wharf!
It will be a relaxed time to share desserts, drink tea and coffee, and connect with one another! We’ll also be wrapping gifts bought from our angel tree for disadvantaged members of our community during our time together.
We’d love for you to attend! You enter Industrious next to Shortwave Coffee (on the backside of Sparkman Wharf) and you can park in the Channelside garage across the street and we’ll validate your parking!
Give to the Christmas Missions Offering
The Spirit of Christmas is not one of receiving, but giving and generosity towards the least of these.
We’ve received the greatest gift ever—a relationship with God through Jesus Christ—so out of that underserved mercy, we are motivated towards generosity!
This Christmas, we’ll be taking up a special collection that will be split 50/50 between local and international missions.
Locally, we’ll use the funds to build up a benevolence fund to support Love INC, which unites churches to help neighbors in need.
Internationally, we’ll give to the International Mission Board through the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering, which supports full-time Christian missionaries serving overseas.
